I found my passion in the mountains. Based in Chamonix, French Alps I try to balance work at Aiguille du Midi (3842m), training which mostly involves running local mountain trails and the urge for big challenges. I have always been a runner but mountains attracted me more so climbing became my second passion. Soon I discovered that moving fast in the alpine terrain and high altitude brings me a great satisfaction.
Conquering myself, searching for myself, overcoming myself. Honestly, I don’t know which one is true. Maybe none, maybe all of them.
Dream big. Train hard. Have fun.
Who am I
I was born in Czech Republic. My parents supported my love for sports, outdoors and adventure. Reading books of Reinhold Messner and other climbing heroes of old kept me dreaming about scaling big hills. My father and I climbed Mont Blanc when I was 16. My love for mountains became official. After a short career in running I went to travel. Soon I found myself again in Chamonix. In 2011, I moved here and never left. Beauty and intensity of this place gives me an inspiration to push myself physically and mentally.
These days I am looking for challenges in Greater Ranges. Himalayas, Cordilleras and other high-altitude areas. I wish to bring together my alpine experience, athletic training, 8-year daily exposure to almost 4000m altitude (Aiguille du Midi) and passion for adventure to discover where my boundaries lie.
